Our Story - Who we are and why we love All cyclists

Katie and Timothy Wakefield are the proud owners of The Spinning Spoke Cycle Hub and Trek Columbia. For years, Timothy was unable to purchase bike parts and accessories in Florence. In fact, he had to travel more than an hour just to get his bike serviced. Assuming that other area cyclists were having the same troubles, he and Katie started looking at locations to open a bike shop. They wanted a location that was convenient for residents of Florence, Muscle Shoals, Tuscumbia and Sheffield. After careful deliberation, they decided that Downtown Florence was the best fit for their new business. The Spinning Spoke Cycle Hub opened its doors on July 1, 2014.

Then, in January of 2017 Katie and Timothy began renovating the store formerly known as The Wheel, located on the Square in charming downtown Columbia, Tennessee. On July 1, 2017, Trek Bicycle Store Columbia opened for business. Serving the Columbia cycling community is a true joy!  

We strive to be the friendliest bike shop and work hard to create an environment where shopping for a bike is simple and fun! We are appreciate and love ALL of our wonderful customers. Thank you for your business and support at both of our locations!
